Dear M Kendrick, This note concerns ASB case 19914, which precise status I'm not sure as I consider the matter open, though colleagues are only too anxious to close! In conversation with the ASB department recently, it seems that the Community Housing Officer is often given the 'dedicated lead' in ASB cases - I'm assuming this has happened here; please also note that this matter has been rumbling-on for years, with the Housing Ombudsman asking the Council to provide compensation, an apology and a review of its procedures - it would be nice to see a resolution this calendar year! I returned from a few days away yesterday (Friday 3rd) to find small items of junk at my back-door, to be placed in my own bin - but, whilst attending to this I was barked-at by two dogs, in 157 and 161! Not knowing which started first, it is still unreasonable to be barked-at by anybody's pet when I'm in a communal area, not on the owner's property! Please move to have these dogs removed. A few minutes later, I discovered two piles of apparent dog-excrement, one on the front path and one by the front-door! How revolting! 161's dog is toileted in the bathroom, apparently, so it is very likely that 157 is responsible for this mess - again, there is no private place for these dogs to be toileted, outside of an apartment, so please arrange for 157 to have 'is dog kept elsewhere (such as in the (extended) family home); the faeces left by the front door has been retained in order that it may be compared to 157 dog's DNA. The point is that this is the most significant aspect of ASB19914, centred on 157's dog, that has caused so many problems (Cllr Hanif, before his recent issue, had been extensively briefed) - the tenant of 157 was taken away by armed Police early in 2024, but his nephew has returned, with the same dog! The nephew also continues to park in front of the garages and later yesterday evening a Borough Parking Attendant agreed with me (as do the Police) that this represents an obstruction regarding access to the garages by other users, setting a bad example to guests and visitors, and also anti-social behaviour; the nephew may be acting in a deliberately antagonistic manner. Please attend to the matter of ASB19914, including possible mediation, before further, unpleasant, escalation - two grand is on offer, with an additional donation to your chosen charity or political party.
